  • EU Veterinary
    Week 2008-2009

    European Commission,
    Directorate General
    for Health and Consumers

Qwentes was tasked with designing a visual concept and a set of products to promote the importance of biosecurity across borders and on the farm.

The visual approach that we developed rested on the concept of origami. The goal was to stress that putting in place biosecurity measures is easier than it may appear. The concept of origami was carried through all the products.

Following the successful European Veterinary Week 2008, DG Sanco wished to support the concept and enlarge its promotional impact addressing it to Veterinary schools, students and medical professionals by creating an academic diary intending to raise awareness on zoonotic diseases.

Qwentes produced a diary in all 23 languages in an A5 format (spiral edition), intended to be distributed to approximately 80 veterinary schools across the EU members’ states but also to veterinary students and medical professionals.

A specific system for valuable feedback per language and ordering of the Diary has been thought and implemented through the existing web site (www.one-health.eu).
